　　在历史遥远的尘烟中，凉山的彝人创造了一种朴实的文化。可是它没有引起外界过多的关注。这是一个民歌、神话、古代仪式和爱情格言的文化。每当月上东山，年轻的彝人在月色掩映下隔山对唱情歌，对于他们来说，这一时刻意味着幸福以及娱乐生活。另一些彝人则把这些浪漫的山歌，整理到歌本里，将遗失于草丛里的乡村语言稍加修饰呈现在我们面前。
　　“彝人制造”由三位年轻彝人组成，他们是曲比哈布、曲比哈日和倮伍阿木，就来自这个神秘的地方—大凉山，同样的，他们也在创造着一种神秘的音乐。在这个流行音乐占主导地位的年代里，他们的音乐是空前的、是前所未有的。他们有与生俱来的乐感、天然的和声和对音乐的狂热都是让我们赞叹不已的，与其说他们是歌手更应说他们是布置迷境的乐林高手，或者说是穿越音乐时空的行者……
　　年轻彝人拥有比我们想象中更多的对外来文化的强烈感官，更好的判断能力，他们熟悉各种牛仔裤的品牌，喜欢黑颜色的饮料和外烟的味道，当然最厉害的是对流行音乐的过分敏感。这些天生歌手对音乐的狂热犹如他们的生命，与生俱来的乐感流淌在他们的血管里，那天然的和声、对复杂声部的统筹能力令人惊叹，驾驭民歌歌词里的谚语、格言、淳朴的比喻如轻车熟路。经过一段时间的磨合及等待后，这一代年轻的彝人足够的音乐天赋与外界音乐大潮相撞的蓝色火光。
　　“彝人制造”的主创及灵魂人物曲比哈布，在经过大量的个人创作实践之后，走入了凉山第一批歌舞厅开始了他的音乐生涯，同时不断地吸收那些与他具有相同志向和理念的年轻彝人成立乐队组合。不久，初具雏形的“彝人制造”会同它的五个成员向州府西昌进军。他们的演出在当地获得了轰动效应，无数人慕名而来，此后巴莫尔哈（当时凉山州州长）力促“彝人制造”推出了他们的第一张专辑《传说中的英雄》，由四川中唱出版，制作人是成都籍、原窦唯乐队的贝司手胡小海。但是这张完全由彝语演唱、采用彝族毕摩教音乐的专辑并未获得多大反响。
　　1998年，巴莫尔哈州长终于把三个人的“彝人制造”带到了北京。鸟人艺术的老总周亚平先生慧眼识金、抢得机缘，一纸签下。
　　“彝人制造”在他们血管里流淌的是民族的血液，特有的民族情感激发着其创作源泉。把本民族的毕摩教音乐、非洲的民族音乐RAP、乡村BLUCE、西班牙的弗拉们戈、拉丁音乐及摇滚乐融为一体，从而，他们以古典与现代、民族与流行、原始与前卫的完美结合创造了“彝人制造”的音乐。直接表达了人世间形形色色的世态、悲欢离合的故事和人们最本能的七情六欲，他们用自己的方式诉说着他们眼中的世界，用他们的音乐勾画着人的灵魂。

2002年，推出专辑《彝人制造》正式推出，一经推出就引起了轰动；
